Beginners Guide to your first snow trip!April 29 2019
If you’ve never been to the snow before, it can be very stressful, making sure you’ve got everything you need and organised everything you need to organise. There are a few ways to reduce this stress, so you can focus more on enjoying yourself!
It’s no secret, snow trips aren’t always cheap, however the best advice I can give, don’t always go the cheaper option with some of your equipment. For many people, you’ll always remember your first time going to the snow, make it one to remember for the fun you had, the things you learnt and the people you were with, not that your hands nearly froze off and you couldn’t see out your goggles for most of the day.
In saying this, there are many ways to save money, such as hiring your equipment, booking lift tickets early and purchasing ‘beginner lift and lesson packages’, such as Mount Buller’s ‘Discovery Pass’. At Oz Extreme, we hire almost everything you’ll need, from your skis and boards, to jackets, pants, walking boots, snow chains and even toboggans. For our competitive hire pricing see here.
Every Sunday throughout the Australian snow season, we run tour buses to Mount Buller and back, from only $69.95 per person, these are a great and very accessible way to get to the snow and back, without the hassle of driving, snow chain hire, accommodation and resort entry ($50 per car!).
